During pregnancy we are told to gain between 25 to 30 pounds. So loosing all that weight is a big deal. Not loosing that extra weight can lead to health problems in the future.

Its not enough to know you need to lose the weight ... you have to act on it. Think of each day as a new oportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle. Small changes can lead one big change.

Remember that small changes are key. Especially if you are breast feeding the last thing you want is to drastically change your eating habbits. Once you feel you are ready to shed those pounds reduce your consumption little by little until it is at your optimal level. Meaning until you are eating what is required for your body to be at its ultimate weight.

You need to eat a balanced diet to help your body recover from the ordeal of pregnancy so this is not the time to start a highly restrictive diet. Take it slow and also start slow with the exercise and build up - those extra pregnancy pounds will be gone before you know it.
